Sometimes I get a little mad that I was born after the Beatles broke up, after John died. I almost feel cheated.

Any lip-readers out there who can tell me what the lady says at 2:43?

I've heard that they did this basically without being able to hear themselves over the screaming.

Yeah I really don't get the girls in the stands crying. I mean I had a crush on an intern in youth group when I was 14, but I didn't go around crying every time he picked up his guitar. Ok so he wasn't the Beatles. Call me culturally out of touch.

i would cry and pass out if i saw paul mccartney today... i'm a super fan. and yes CJ i feel cheated as well.

there's this song that sums up m thoughts on that:
I wish I was a punk rocker by Sandy Thom

Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair
In 77 and 69 revolution was in the air
I was born too late into a world that doesn't care
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair

missed you tonight brian

Hey man. You don't know me. I don't know you. I believe we have a mutual friend or 2 (maybe). They actually recommended I open this conversation with you. They sent me to your blog and I found you here. So, if you are interested, I am having a bit of an existential crisis. I'm beginning to feel that my faith is not my own, and am finding that these new thoughts are making it fairly difficult to desire to be a part of the church. Some interesting things are occurring for me in this conversation. The "mutual friends" said you may have some interesting things to add to this conversation I am having. What is making it the most tricky for me right now is that I am a music pastor at a church. I feel that most people would say that due to my role in the church, these questions are not "safe" or "healthy" questions to ask. I can't help but disagree.

All that to say, if you are interested, let me know. Would love your insight. I'm in Long Beach, CA. If you would rather chat in person, I'll fly there. I have more frequent flyer miles than I know what to do with. I'm down for whatever.
