successful cd release

thanks to everyone who made it out last night. I'd guess there were over 200 people crammed into the speakeasy. great night, lot's of energy, friendly people, good drinks, shane playing drums on the wall, and it's always nice when the news shows up to shoot your gigs. looking forward to seeing everyone again at the next one.

this is such a fun band. these three photos taken by my good friend frank price. more photos by liz west-wells found here.

Mark this down as one more reason I want to live in Bham at some point before I "settle down".

I love the Spots! Great video, great photos. See you all in September! Would be great if you had any shows while we're in the area...

brett - there will be more. and perhaps some day soon we will travel to nashville and melt faces.

aaron - yeah the news was pretty awesome. very cool of them to show up for us.

remington - well, thank you. and the plan is definitely to work on another cd. it might be awhile, but it will happen...

yeah liz I thought you might like that.

irwin - my dad came to hear us play for I think the first 30 minutes, and he said later, "you know brian - you don't actually play piano...you really just use that red keyboard and create sounds..." and I said, "yeah..."

brian, I just want you to know that today something significant happened.

I parallel parked my car all by myself.

BTM - I needed to let you know, someone from Birmingham Alabama, did a google search for "brian t murphy blog" and found you on my blog. Said person than proceeded to click out of my blog to the Briarwood Christian High School website. This person was using Roadrunner Southeast for their internet service provider, also they were using Windows XP.

I needed to keep you abreast of google searches involving you.

shawn - thanks. I think I want my next one to be something like "autgrs4evr" because I love auburn and sports and that would be totally unique.

kelly - totally awesome. hey - I was happy to park your car. I happen to be a really good parallel parker. in fact, some people refer to me as a parallel parking enthusiast.

nicholas - that is the nerdiest comment you have ever made.

I dug the show. I kept telling my friend " i think i might puke this is so good". but i didn't, thank goodness.
I am flattered and intimidated that you read my blog...it is like if Michealangelo checked out my artwork...or something like that.

From Fox 6: "The spots’ sit in a circle and play electronic instruments and drum heads. These well dressed guys play tunes." I agree. Plus Frank takes better rock and roll band photos then me.
